The Bureaucracy of Healthcare

How to best care?

Put the patient first?

Cut across bureaucracy;

put personalities aside-

don’t think more of yourself

more than you ought; it might

come back and bite you.

Posed with the question-

why did you become a nurse?

Think before you answer;

make sure you live it out ,

for undoubtedly, the patient

is often overlooked, even missing-

viewed as nuisance or attention seeker.

Inequality and poverty often impact on

when, where and why someones seeks help.

Don’t be that one who wins the battle

at the expense of care and compassion.

Imagine that old lady is your mother-

the insane drunk could be your brother.

Think before your morals sink …..

One day it could be you needing understanding.
